Audition: February 24, 25, 2025

Requirements:

- Completed singing studies

- Ensemble singing experience

- Flawless sight-singing

Audition repertoire:

- Mozart: Ach, ich fühl's (Die Zauberflöte)

- Mozart: Exsultate, jubilate , KV 165: Alleluia

- Brahms: "Von ewiger Liebe", op. 43/1 (in C-sharp minor)

- Strauss: Die Nacht, op. 10/ 3 (in D major)

Further compulsory pieces, optional:

- Puccini: Mi chiamano Mimì (La bohème)

or

- Puccini: Quando m'en vo (La bohème)

or

- Puccini: Chi il bel sogno di Doretta (La Rondine)

- JS Bach: Aus Liebe will mein Heiland sterben (Matthäus-Passion)

or

- JS Bach: Zerfließe, mein Herze (Johannes-Passion)

Further compulsory pieces from the choral literature to be prepared:

- JS Bach: Cum sancto spiritu (soprano I, bars 49–64) (h-Moll-Messe) (Bärenreiter edition)

- Brahms: Warum ist das Licht gegeben dem Mühseligen, op. 74/1 (soprano, bars 1–17, Breitkopf & Härtel edition)
