Victorian Lyric Opera Company

The Victorian Lyric Opera Company (VLOC) is seeking stage and music directors for our 2025-2026 season at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre in Rockville, MD. The productions include:

“The Zoo” & “Trial by Jury” (Semi-staged concert, Sept 5-7, 2025) – Stage Director stipend: $500

“The Elixir of Love” (Fully staged, Feb 27-Mar 8, 2026) – Stage Director: $1500 | Assistant Stage Director: $750 | Assistant Music Director: $750

“Patience” (Fully staged, June 5-14, 2026) – Stage Director: $1500 | Assistant Stage Director: $750 | Music Director: $1500 | Assistant Music Director: $750

Interested candidates should submit a resume and cover letter specifying the show(s) and position(s) of interest. Stage Director applicants must also provide a one-page production treatment. Additional details and applicant form are available via the button below. Applications are due by April 11, 2025.

Interviews will be conducted via Zoom in April (dates TBD). Stage Director candidates should be prepared to discuss their vision, including staging, cuts, scenery, costumes, and rehearsal needs.
