Auditions for The Spitfire Grill

Auditions:

Monday, September 16, 7:00 pm-9:30pm or Tuesday, September 17, 7-9:30pm, at the Barn Theatre, 30 Sir Frances Drake Blvd., Ross, CA

Audition Requirements:

Please email Steve Price, the Producer, to schedule an in-person audition at steve@tessera.bz. Video auditions also welcome.

Carefully complete the audition application form and either email with a video audition, or bring with you to in-person auditions. Application Form

Prepare a one-to-two minute contemporary, serious monologue.

Prepare a two-to-three minute song, preferably fitting the folk/country feel of the show. Provide standard sheet music in the key in which you will sing it; no lead sheets or requests for transpositions please.

An accompanist will be provided; no unaccompanied songs.

Provide a specific list of your conflicts based on the “possible” rehearsal schedule below with your audition application form.

All actors are paid a $20 (+ bridge toll if applicable) per diem to cover travel expenses. Equity Special Appearance Tier 2 contracts are possible.

One female and one male understudy position are available.

Rehearsals and Performances:

Because rehearsals will straddle holidays, a specific schedule will be based on actor availability. Generally, rehearsals will be scheduled 3-4 weeknights and one, weekend day. Possible rehearsal times include:

November 18-26, 2024: weekday evenings plus one weekend day.

No rehearsals: November 27-December 1, 2024-5.

December 2-22: weekday evenings plus one weekend day.

No rehearsals: December 23-January 1, 2025

January 2-17, 2025: weekday evenings plus one weekend day.

Technical Rehearsals:

Saturday, January 18 and Sunday, January 19, 2025

Technical and Dress Rehearsals: January 20-22, 2025

Preview: Thursday, January 23, 2025

Performances:

Opening: Friday, January 24, 2025

Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays at 7:30 pm, Sundays at 2:00 pm

February 13, 14 – on hold; to be scheduled if sales are brisk

Saturday, February 15 at 2 PM (not 7:30 PM)
