Edmonds Driftwood Players will be holding auditions for Clue, the musical, January 5, 2025 (between 3pm and 5:30pm) January 6, 2025 (between 6pm and 8pm).
If you would like to check out the script or vocal book before auditions, please contact Office@EdmondsDriftwoodPlayers.org. You’ll need to schedule a time to come to our rehearsal annex/office in Edmonds prior to our office closing on December 21 for the holidays.
Acting and improvisational skills should be highlighted in your audition.
Monologue: Be prepared with a contemporary comedic monologue, approximately one minute in length. You may be asked to repeat your monologue or an element of your monologue in the audition process.
Song: We will email all auditioning actors a link to review sheet music and a piano recording, which includes 32 bars (approximately one minute) of a song of your choice for a specific character in the show. Your performance should include storytelling and character choices. Your choice of character to sing for will not exclude you from being considered for other roles. A live accompanist will be provided at auditions and callbacks, but these materials will be for your preparation prior to auditions.
The link to these materials is expected to be distributed by December 23, and then every couple of days thereafter for any new signups.
Headshot and Resume: The headshot does not need to be professionally made – a well-lit selfie is perfectly fine. The resume should be one page and list any special talents you have.
Please name your documents LastName FirstName-Headshot & LastName FirstName-Resume and upload them to the audition survey. If you are unable to do so, please bring them with you to your audition appointment.
Signups will close Friday, January 3 at 12:00pm so that staff can prepare materials for the production team.
