The Department of Music at Binghamton University (State University of New York) seeks to hire a full-time, tenure-track position of Assistant Professor of Music specializing in Vocal Coaching and Opera Conducting beginning on September 1, 2025.

Required Qualifications:

* Master's degree or equivalent professional experience with a significant national and/or international profile as a Vocal Coach/Collaborative Pianist.

* Thorough knowledge of languages, diction, and operatic and art song literature.

* Experience preparing opera performances at the university or professional level.

* Record of excellence teaching students at the highest professional level.

* Experience teaching academic music courses (e.g., Vocal Literature) as instructor of record.
