US Naval Academy Band

The United States Naval Academy Band announces an immediate vacancy for Soprano/Alto Vocalist to lead Popular Music Groups, Concert Band, Jazz Combo, Ceremonial Band, and perform as a solo vocalist. Applicants must demonstrate strong, versatile skills in the following areas:

• Vocal repertoire covering all popular musical styles including Rock, Pop, Funk, Country, R&B, Reggae, and Motown.

• Stylistic range to perform in traditional choral and musical theater styles.

• Ability to lead groups on small and large stages and entertain live and televised audiences. Must demonstrate confident stage personality and charisma in performance and to deliver strategic messaging.

• Ability to read music and general knowledge of music theory.

Applicants must submit audio recordings and a one-page resume to auditions@usna.edu by Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 11:59 p.m EST to be considered for this audition. The live audition is by invitation only, and will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. The audition committee reserves the right to dismiss any candidate who does not meet our strict musical and professional criteria.
