The University of Northern Colorado School of Music invites applications for a full-time position as an Artist-Scholar in the Voice Area. The successful candidate will actively recruit music majors within the framework of our goal of increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion, and work collaboratively with colleagues to advance the School’s programs and initiatives. Specific responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate voice lessons, studio class, and possibly additional areas within the Voice Area based on a candidate’s strengths, qualifications, and interests. Other primary responsibilities will include supervising graduate research and writing. Service to the university and/or the profession, and development of a national professional profile commensurate with a tenure-track position are expected.
Minimum Qualifications:
Baritone or Bass voice type
ABD in Vocal Performance with a degree completed December 2025
Potential for professional activity at the national level
1 year of teaching voice and related coursework at the college level
Commitment to inclusive recruitment practices that attract a diverse body of students
