Union Avenue Opera

Union Avenue Opera (UAO) is a thriving regional company that produces fully staged operas in original language with full union orchestra in St. Louis, Missouri. UAO provides professional opportunities for gifted, emerging artists while offering vibrant and affordable opera experiences in original languages.

Applicants are encouraged to apply early. Due to the anticipated number of applications, and time constraints, not all applicants will be granted an audition. Applications will be reviewed and considered on a rolling basis however it may take several weeks to notify artists of status. UAO will reserve an equal number of audition slots for each production in consideration.

The application process is free. However, if you are selected to receive a live audition, you must confirm your appointment by submitting the nonrefundable audition fee ($40 NYC; $15 STL; fee waived for artists residing with in 60 miles of UAO) within 5 business days. There is no additional fee for a pianist which will be provided. All audition fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
