San Diego Musical Theatre

San Diego Musical Theatre announces auditions for Matilda.

We are seeking the following age groups:

Youth (entering grades 3-7)

Teen (entering grades 8-12)

Adults (18+).

The roles of Trunchbull, Mr. Wormwood (AEA contract), and The Doctor have been cast.

DANCE/MOVER CALL: Everyone auditioning for this production should attend this call on Sunday, December 1.

* 5pm Youth (entering grades 3-7)

The 5 pm dance/mover call is for anyone auditioning for a youth role or ensemble.

If you are attending the singer's call on Monday, December 2, please email me at jill@sdmt.org so I can add you to this dance/movement call list at 5 p.m.

Please bring one stapled headshot/resume with you for check-in.

If you are asked to stay and sing after, prepare up to one minute of a song in the show's style, along with a short story joke you can tell us when you come in to sing.

Dialects are not required but auditioners are welcome to use them.

8pm Teen (entering grades 8-12) / Adults

The 8 pm dance/mover call is for anyone auditioning for a teen or adult role.

Since you will be making an appointment for the singer's call on Monday, December 2 (except for Mrs. Phelps), please email me at jill@sdmt.org so I can add you to this dance/movement call list at 8 pm.

Please bring one stapled headshot/resume with you for check-in.
