THEATER FAN -

The Ruth and Nathan Hale Theater is pleased to announce auditions for their upcoming production of Something Rotten!

Brace for laughs as Shakespeare, Broadway showtunes, and breakfast collide in this uproarious farce. Hilarity ensues when down-on-their-luck brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom challenge the Bard himself by writing the world’s first musical. Winner of Best Musical and hailed by Time Out New York as "the funniest musical comedy in at least 400 years."

INITIAL AUDITIONS -

This initial audition for Something Rotten! will be held only by video submission. Specific details regarding video submission are below. Videos must be received no later than 11:59 pm on Monday, February 10, 2025 to be considered for callbacks.

CALLBACKS -

Callbacks will be held in-person and are scheduled for the Saturday, February 22, 2025. Callbacks will be by invitation only.

The Audition Page on our website will be updated when callback invitiations and casting have been sent.

REHEARSALS & PERFORMANCES -

Rehearsals will begin on or around June 9, 2025.

The show runs August 22 - October 4 with a possible extension from October 6 - 18, 2025.

At The Ruth & Nathan Hale Theater we seek to honor the authors intent pertaining to each our productions. We care deeply about casting in a way where everyone feels respected, supported, safe and welcomed.

We invite anyone and everyone to audition for any and all of our productions, regardless of any physical attribute, gender, race, age, ability, ethnicity, or experience. All are welcome at The Ruth.

SINGING -

Please film yourself singing no more than 30 seconds of a musical theatre vocal selection in the style of the show. Please do not slate or introduce your song.

DANCE COMBO -

Please also include a recording of the dance combination found below.

Those ONLY interested in the roles of Nigel Bottom, Bea, Portia, or Brother Jeremiah do not need to submit the dance combination.
