The Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Opera Center

The Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Opera Center is calling for applications from singers who are interested in joining its 2026/27 Ensemble.

Established in 1974 as the professional artist-development program for Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Ryan Opera Center has been recognized as one of the premier programs of its kind in the world.

The approximate contract dates are May 4, 2026 through April 25, 2027 (subject to change), with an option for renewal as the positions are expected to have a two-year residency.

Auditions will take place in NYC and Chicago.
