City Circle Theatre Company

City Circle Theatre will be holding auditions for School of Rock.

Audition Details:

Student casting is open to actors in 6th grade and up. Characters should appear to be in middle school. The object is to cast a group of actors that look like they belong in the same class. Children of all ethnicities and cultural backgrounds are welcome to apply.

Some adult roles may be suitable for individuals aged 20-30, the roles of each of the parents are intended for ages 30+.

Auditions will alternate between two locations:

* Community of Christ Church (CC), 2121 S Ridge Dr., Coralville

* United Action for Youth (UAY), 355 Iowa Avenue, Iowa City

Actors will fill out, in advance, an audition form as well as sign up for a short audition time slot for one of the following dates:

* March 28 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at CC

* March 29 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at UAY

Callbacks, if necessary, will take place:

March 30 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at CC

Please prepare 16-32 bars of a song of your choice that reflects the style of this musical. We are eager to hear you show off your voice and your ability to tell a story. Bring sheet music and an accompanist will be provided. If you choose to sing from the musical, that sheet music will be provided.
