Welcome to the NMSU Department of Music! We are among the finest institutes in the southwest at preparing student musicians for success in a variety of musical careers. The Department of Music features an internationally recognized faculty along with a talented, enthusiastic student body that creates a dynamic, engaging environment.
Our department is diverse in population and opportunities, featuring degrees in Music Education, Music Performance, and Bachelor of Arts, along with the opportunity to perform in a wide array of ensembles. The department also supports a master’s degree program with concentrations in Music Performance, Conducting, or Music Education.
