The Shake Company - great entertainment for over 25 years.

What had long been part of the theater landscape in New York, Hamburg and Vienna should also be given a name in Zurich and throughout Switzerland. The shake musical company has stood for this since 1995.

Founded by Dominik Flaschka, the shakecompany produced music theater productions for the off-scene. Sometimes more, sometimes less, the local themes, atmospheres and cultural peculiarities were presented, always on the basis of entertainment theater. These were both foreign pieces that were adapted, but also new materials that were specially developed for the shakecompany in collaboration with Swiss composers and authors.

It is the pleasure of moderate exaggeration, with the help of comics; Exaggerated or surrealistic characters, garish scenes, excessive development of the story, always starting from everyday situations and actions. The aim is to mix theater, music and movement, to walk the tightrope between recognized and common taste.

The shakecompany has been around for over 25 years, enriching the musical landscape at home and abroad.
