Janice Jarrett, owner/instructor at Vocal Technique Studio, offers voice lessons, music theory, songwriting, and other musicianship skills training for all genres. A jazz singer, lyricist, arranger, band leader, speaker, and journalist, she has taught and performed across the country and abroad. She earned her Ph.D. in Ethnomusicology, a Masters in World Music (Wesleyan), and a B.A. in voice/composition (Antioch College). A scholar/speaker with the Arizona Humanities Speakers Bureau, and a published journalist, her profiles and reviews have appeared in the Arizona Daily Star, the Tucson Weekly, and the Phoenix New Times. Her new Website, www.janicejarrett.com, includes an e-commerce store with digital lead sheets of her collaborations as a lyricist with noted jazz composers. She continues to teach private lessons plus a variety of workshop series when possible.
