A haven for expression and a laboratory for sound, the Erin G. McCarthy Vocal Studio is where singers can develop a robust technical foundation and foster a passion for performing.
Erin teaches a blend of Bel Canto technique and evidence-based methods. Under her guidance, students develop a firm, healthy foundation that will carry them throughout their singing life. Brilliant clear tone, an uninhibited breathing strategy, and deep expression are all hallmarks of her work.
Each student gets a specifically-tailored plan to meet their individual goals. Everything is done with Erin’s combination of world-class standards and a supportive, loving heart. Positive reinforcement abounds, and gentle guidance is backed up with clear expectations that pave the way for success. Students can expect to develop improved self-esteem, a great sense of accomplishment, and a sense of empowerment in addition to building their vocal technique.
A versatile performer, Erin is equally at home on the opera stage, with a symphony orchestra, and in the barnyard. Her YouTube channel features Erin performing with the various residents of her homestead, Fermata Farm. Singing with alpacas, horses, chickens and goats, Erin combines sly humor and soaring melody to create performance art that is truly unique. Her work has been featured by Classic FM, WFMT in Chicago, and she and her horse, Etta, were contestants on Season 15 of America’s Got Talent.
