Originally from the Bahamas, tenor Craig Brown holds a graduate degree in Vocal Performance from the Hayes School of Music in Boone, North Carolina. There he has performed as Lippo in Kurt Weil’s Street Scene, Rodolfo from Puccini’s La Boheme, Ferrando in Mozart’s Cosi fan Tutte, Edgardo in Donizetti’s Luicia di Lammemor, and as King Kaspar in Menotti’s Amahl & the Night Visitors. He has also performed with the North Carolina Symphony. Mr. Brown has studied with mezzo-soprano Mary-Gayle Greene, Metropolitan Opera soprano Alexandra LoBianco, Grammy Award Winner Lucas Meachem and Tenor Matthew White.
In addition to his operatic work, Mr. Brown holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Industry studies and has worked at BMG Publishing, RCA records, and Killer Tracks in Hollywood, California. He has served as a vocal clinician at Camp Ballibay in Pennsylvania, Canon Music Camp at Appalachian State University, ‘Sing Out!’ and ‘Next Stage!’ at Duke University and recorded a Christmas Pop album in the Bahamas called “In Dreams”. Mr. Brown has been listed as the #1 ranked Classical Artist in the Bahamas for the last 7 years. Currently, Mr. Brown is a voice teacher at both the Ravenscroft School and The Musician’s Learning Center where he teaches over 70 students.
