Teacher

Ray Billiald has been teaching in the Toronto area since 2016. A dedicated and passionate teacher, he has helped students successfully prepare for RCM examinations, school auditions, album recordings, as well as many students just wanting to learn the joys of music for themselves. A highly adaptable teacher, Ray loves to explore new styles and approaches to teaching to help his students learn and develop. Whether it is incorporating basic harmony into a voice lesson, or working through how to self-accompany, he always works toward his students understanding what they are doing, and why they are doing it.

Ray is a graduate of York University's BFA in music, cum laude, the two-time recipient of the Sterling Beckwith Voice award, and loves to keep learning through various conferences and workshops.
