Bernie Kwiram is a conductor, singer and vocal instructor/coach working in the Pacific Northwest. He is the music director & conductor of the Seattle Gilbert & Sullivan Society and the Tacoma City Ballet and a principal conductor for the Tacoma Opera and the Puget Sound Concert Opera. As a singer, Bernie has performed with numerous organizations such as the Seattle Opera, Everett Symphony, Mock’s Crest Productions, Bellevue Opera, Lake Union Civic Orchestra, Concord Choir, Civic Light Opera, Tacoma Opera, Kirkland Choral Society, Seattle Concert Opera and Leavenworth Summer Theater. He has performed in musical styles including Opera, Operetta, Musical Theater, Jazz, Pop, Oratorio/Concert, professional Chamber Choir and Classical Recital. As a vocal instructor, Bernie’s focus is on healthy and functional technique applied to any musical style. He has experience working with singers at all levels of development and in most musical styles, including (but not limited to) Classical, Opera, Musical Theater, Belting, Rock, Pop, R&B, Jazz, Country and Contemporary Worship music. He also has expertise and extensive experience with vocal rehabilitation.
