Teacher

Jeanne Van Slyke Evans earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree at the University of Wisconsin, a Bachelor of Arts degree Writing at St. Catherine University, and a Master of Arts in English at the University of St. Thomas, in Minnesota. Jeanne studied voice with tenor Robert Beidler and soprano Donna Dixon, the latter of whom studied with Clifford Ware at the University of Minnesota. She has performed solo recitals, sang with several choirs, and in musicals and operettas.

With over 40 years of experience in teaching vocal soloists of all ages, and pre-college piano, Jeanne celebrates each student's individual gifts and encourages sharing their gifts in performance and/or personal growth. Several of her students have earned degrees in music, and won awards at the local, regional and national levels.
