Bio

Andrea Blough, soprano, has recently relocated back to the USA with her husband and two children. From 2013-2022, she directed the Upper School choirs at Taipei American School in Taiwan where she also taught IB DP Music, piano collaboration, and musical theater classes. While in Taipei, Andrea appeared as the soprano soloist as well as coordinated students and community members in mass choir ensembles for major works such as Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass and Mozart’s Requiem. She was the vocal director for TAS’s Upper School musicals, including crowd favorites Les Miserables, The Addams Family, and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Before moving to Taiwan, Andrea enjoyed a career as a professional singer, performing roles such as Susanna in Le Nozze de Figaro and Adina in Elixir of Love. She was Choirmaster for the Asheville Lyric Opera and taught private voice and piano lessons in Asheville, NC. Andrea has performed at Carnegie Hall and the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia as a member of the Philadelphia Singers and at Lincoln Center with the New York Philharmonic as a member of Westminster Symphonic Choir. She has an M.M. from Westminster Choir College in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy.
