Dr. Gregory Zavracky is an assistant professor of voice at Boston Conservatory at Berklee and a voice faculty member at the Boston University Tanglewood Institute. He received his DMA in Voice Performance from Boston University in 2014, Master of Music degrees from New England Conservatory, and a Bachelor of Arts from Emory University. He has been inducted into both the Phi Beta Kappa and Pi Kappa Lambda honors societies. His articles examining the songs of Libby Larsen, Tom Cipullo, Harry T. Burleigh, John Musto, and Rebecca Clarke have appeared in the Journal of Singing.
A lyric tenor, Dr. Zavracky has recently performed in La Belle Hélène with Odyssey Opera, the premiere of Matthew Aucoin’s Crossing with the American Repertory Theater, recitals with the Five Borough Music Festival, Messiah with the Rhode Island Philharmonic, and Count Almaviva in Barber of Seville with Opera Modesto. He is a frequent soloist in the Boston area and has also sung with Boston Lyric Opera, Utah Symphony and Opera, Chautauqua Symphony and Opera, Opera Saratoga, Opera North, Opera in the Heights, and Cape Cod Opera. An album of his original art songs is slated to be released in 2025.
