Bio

Amy has been a private voice teacher and coach for over 20 years and is currently a voice instructor for the Shen Curriculum for Musical Theater at Yale University and an adjunct private voice instructor for Marymount Manhattan College. She combines the technical know-how of a voice specialist with the piano skills and repertoire familiarity of a coach, not to mention the practical experience of performing 8 shows a week in 6 different Broadway shows. Amy particularly loves teaching musical theater vocal technique to classically-trained singers and is the creator of her own master class, The Crossover Connection, as well as the instructor of The Art of Vocal Crossover for TheoryWorks.

Amy has prepared students for auditions ranging from NYC-area performing arts high schools to avocational choirs to Broadway shows, as well as for the Lotte Lenya Competition (of which she is a previous winner). Her students have gone on to work on Broadway, national tours, and major regional theaters.
