About us:

A few singing buddies, who met in a choir and now want to work in a small group.

While Gary and Sophie love Nordic music and can't wait to sing Esenvalds, Angélique loves baroque, and Oriane is very keen on singing vocal jazz. As for Marie-Céline, post-rehearsal beers are what she's looking forward to the most!

We are fortunate to have less than 10 singers and at the moment we can rehearse (masked) despite the health restrictions.

THE PROJECT :

Project to constitute a good level amateur vocal octet, starting in September 2020.

- Rehearsal every other Tuesday evening in the 10th arrondissement of Paris. Possibility of rehearsal weekends during the year from time to time, with the agreement of all the singers.

- It will be necessary to arrive at the rehearsal having already deciphered the scores.

- Repertoire: participative, on suggestion of the singers.

Variant of Gjeilo, Esenvalds, Lauridsen, but also of previous composers like (in disorder) Rachmaninov, Fauré, Bach, Byrd, Charpentier, Schubert... as long as it can be sung by 8 voices and accepted by the majority of the singers. Sometimes, adaptations of current songs or songs from the 60/70/80s. With the liking of our desires, and the evolution of our programs. The idea will be to create a basic repertory, in which we will go digging to constitute concert programs.

- Annual membership fee of 150 euros

- For the first season, i.e. 2020-2021, we are aiming for a concert in May / June 2021.

We have no ambition to become a professional ensemble,

Thus the surplus money collected at the concerts will go into the association's coffers. This can be used to pay for courses in singing, posture, sophrology, theater ... Perhaps to pay for weekends, exceptional rehearsal places if our regular venue is not accessible from time to time.
