At Immaculata University’s Music Department, we are committed to developing in our students an understanding and appreciation of the power and place of music in the world by maintaining music as a primary discipline among the liberal arts; preparing students to use the power of music to teach, heal, worship and enrich the lives of all people; and promoting the art of music as a spiritual and cultural force in society.

The music faculty are committed to fostering students’ highest artistic potential, while establishing a strong foundational knowledge in the fundamentals of music. Graduates leave Immaculata prepared to pursue careers or advanced studies in music education music therapy and a variety of other music-related fields.

The University is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM).Our music therapy programs are approved by the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA), and our music education degree program is in compliance with the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE).
