The Music program is one of the cornerstones of the Mount Allison curriculum.
It has been a key discipline at the University for over 140 years - since the first Certificate in Music was awarded in 1874. The Music department offers programs and courses for every level of interest - whether you plan to perform on the world's greatest stages one day or just want to learn more about a subject you love.
The department provides abundant opportunities to perform as a soloist or as part of an ensemble and to listen to and learn from our talented faculty.
The study of Music, valuable in itself, is also a great asset in many different career fields. Music students not only gain music-related skills - they also become critical and creative thinkers, are self-disciplined, and develop expert presentation skills.
