Description

With an enrollment of only 450, SFCM is a tight-knit community that celebrates creativity, collaboration, and the highest standards of artistry. As the only collegiate conservatory in the Bay Area, SFCM students work alongside internationally-known artists appearing on San Francisco’s major stages and have the opportunity to gig all around the city from Napa Valley to Silicon Valley.

Voice students receive comprehensive training in a rigorous opera program, which includes weekly coachings and private lessons, access to rehearsals and performances at San Francisco Opera, opportunities to work with renowned vocal coaches such as Martin Katz and Frederica von Stade, and a wide range of acting, stage combat certification, diction, and professional development courses unparalleled at other institutions.
