Description

The Renaissance Music Week in Denmark is a course for instrumentalists, singers and dancers. Tutoring is offered in renaissance wind, string and plucked instruments and in solo singing, vocal ensemble, choir and dance. There is also the opportunity of taking part in tutored mixed ensembles and in larger works involving all participants. The course is organised by a team of participants and led by a group of professional musicians all of whom specialise in renaissance music.

The participants, who come from all over Europe, cover a broad range of skills from amateur musicians and music students to music teachers. The working language is very often English, but can be a mixture of Danish, German and English. An ability to read music is essential. Experience of playing in an orchestra or other ensemble, or singing in a choir is an advantage.
