About the Neuburg Chamber Opera and its last production:
When you see the pretty Biedermeier theater with its two tiers and the graceful pillars in Neuburg's historic old town, one as a “muse disciple” has to wish that works of the musical theater will also delight a well-tuned audience. This is what the opera singer and director Horst Vladar, who grew up in Neuburg, thought when he founded the Neuburg Chamber Opera with friends in 1969. Nobody suspected at the time that the barely subsidized company would last over 30 years. In the meantime, the city and district support the Neuburg Chamber Opera to such an extent that at least one production takes place every summer. This is only possible because in addition to the vocal soloists and the artistic management team, enthusiastic amateurs - orchestra, technology, administration - are involved.
The Neuburg Chamber Opera became known beyond the region because it has made it its program to only perform operas that can hardly be heard in other opera houses. Where do you bring operas by composers such as B. Salieri, Himmel, Guglielmi, Philidor, della Maria, Fischietti, Logroscino, Mehul, Martin y Soler, Schweitzer, Isouard, Morlacchi, Galuppi, Gretry, Fioravanti, Danzi, Kreutzer, Mayr, Gaßmann?
