Dr. Hoch's Conservatory - Music Academy Frankfurt am Main is a state-recognized training institute with a long tradition. 1878 as a foundation of the Frankfurt citizen Dr. Founded by Joseph Hoch, it now unites under one roof the musical education from early musical education to the academic degree "Bachelor of Music". Among the numerous important musical personalities whose name goes back to the Dr. Hoch's Conservatory include Paul Hindemith, Engelbert Humperdinck, Otto Klemperer and Clara Schumann.

With the possibility of a wide-ranging qualification in the professional field of music, the Conservatory provides its students and pupils with skills that are essential for the modern music profession. The study department offers a practice-oriented range of courses that is not only accessible to high school graduates, but also to talented young musicians with secondary school qualifications. All instrumental subjects, singing, elementary music pedagogy and composition are offered in a modern four-year course, which is expanded by various practice-oriented study projects.

In the “ Pre-College-Frankfurt ” department for study preparation, young, talented musicians are prepared for studying music as part of talent training.

In the department for young and adult education (ANE) the conservatory offers talents of all ages the opportunity to be trained as laypeople by competent lecturers.

In addition to a department for contemporary art music / composition , the house also has a department for early music and a ballet school .

In addition to its key function as a training institute, the conservatory sees itself as a mediator of music. With its numerous events and concerts, the Dr. Hoch's Conservatory to take this cultural mission into account. The Frankfurt and national musical life is a central concern of the conservatory.
