Solo Voice Camp at UW-Whitewater

This is the ideal camp for young singers who have some solo experience and would like to learn more about their voice and the world of the singer/actor in a supportive atmosphere. Students interested in pursuing a career in vocal performance or vocal music education are encouraged to attend. Daily Master Classes will include stage deportment, song interpretation, diction for singers, and working with conductors.

Students will receive daily lessons (included in camp fee) that will focus on posture, breathing, support, and healthy production and projection of the voice. Coaching is also an integral part of the solo singer’s life. Students will also have coaching with pianists and faculty on collaboration. Evenings will consist of student recitals, mock audition seminars and performances by faculty and staff. Available to campers entering grades 9-12 ( ages 14 -17 ) in the fall, and graduating seniors.
