Underpinning and inspiring all that we do here at Norwich Cathedral are the three Benedictine principles of worship, hospitality and learning. These are reflected in the layout of the Cathedral.
In the 21st century, just as in the time of the Priory, the Cloister lies at the heart of the complex and connects the three main buildings – the Cathedral, Hostry and Refectory – with one dedicated to each of the three Benedictine principles.
The Cathedral itself is a place of public worship and private prayer, full of historical significance.
To find out a bit more about 12 of the key areas within the Cathedral building please see our welcome brochure which is provided for our visitors to offer some context as they circulate the building.
