The Choir of the National Forum of Music was founded in 2006 by Andrzej Kosendiak as part of the then existing Wrocław Philharmonic, which in May 2014 was transformed into the National Forum of Music. Agnieszka Franków-Żelazny has been in charge of it from the very beginning. It quickly became a leading group on the Polish choral music scene. He gained recognition by performing both a rich a cappella repertoire and large oratorio, opera and symphonic forms. The ensemble has collaborated with such great conductors as Giovanni Antonini, Benjamin Bayl, Andrzej Boreyko, Bob Chilcott, Gabriel Chmura, Ivan Fischer, Jose Maria Florencio, Robert Hollingworth, Tonu Kaljuste, Jacek Kaspszyk, Stephen Layton, James MacMillan, Jerzy Maksymiuk, Paul McCreesh , Krzysztof Penderecki, Benjamin Shwartz, Leonard Slatkin. During his more than ten years of activity, he has performed at over 300 concerts, incl. at the Barbican Center and Royal Albert Hall in London, the Gewandhaus in Leipzig, the Paris Philharmonic and the Salle Pleyel in Paris.
