Description

Voice Summer Program for Grades 6-9

If you love to sing, the three-week Voice summer program is an excellent opportunity to develop your voice through solo, small vocal ensemble, and large choral experiences. Working under the guidance of an accomplished, supportive faculty, you will experience the joy of singing with other talented students from around the world.

In this summer program, you will develop your voice through solo, small vocal ensemble, and large choral experiences.

The Intermediate Choir (2021 repertoire coming soon) allows you to develop ensemble and musicianship skills through the study of choral literature appropriate for adolescent singers.

Private voice lessons with our voice faculty throughout each session provide you with individualized feedback and instruction.

Classes devoted to singer skills focus on developing your musicianship and music literacy through the study of music theory and solfeggio.

Our operetta workshop provides you the opportunity to engage in acting and dramatic presentation, through the preparation and performance of a short operetta.

In voice class, you will engage in the study of classical vocal techniques in a group setting, including IPA, diction, body alignment, and master classes.

Use your elective class option to study another art form, or choose from a variety of classes in the music department. When you're not in class, you will have numerous opportunities to enjoy student, faculty, and renowned guest artist presentations in a variety of art forms.
