Junge Musikakademie Hamburg

The YOU!ng Musical Academy is the musical theater department of the Junge Musikakademie Hamburg, Hamburg's largest music training facility in the northeast of the Hanseatic city.

For over 20 years now, the YOU!ng Musical Academy has stood for enriching experiences with musical theater, dazzling galas and magnificent musical performances. Consisting of almost 100 children, teenagers and young adults aged 6-25, divided into 3 age groups, the appropriate stage play is created for every age and ability. In recent years, Broadway classics such as Footloose, 9to5, Cabaret, Mary Poppins and Little Shop of Horrors have been successfully brought to the stage, but also several of our own musicals such as Best of Musical or East meets West have been developed, which have met with great success even in... The YOU!ng Musical Academy focuses on having fun, developing and strengthening individual skills and the ensemble concept. In addition to the important development of individual strengths, great emphasis is placed on ensuring that children and young people see themselves as part of an ensemble. The participants learn not only to be there for themselves, but also to be there for others and to support each other. Personal and social skills are further developed and strengthened.
