Dutch Classical Talent

Dutch Classical Talent (formerly 'the Vriendenkrans Concours' and 'Het Debuut') is a well-known talent program in the Dutch classical music world. The Vriendenkrans Competition has been organized since 1949 by the Friends of the Concertgebouw and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. From 1999, talented young musicians were able to gain stage experience under supervision in the series Het Debuut, a collaboration between initiator Ton Hartsuiker, Muziekcentrum Vredenburg on behalf of the affiliated concert halls and the JCP Foundation (Young talent, Culture and Podia). After joining forces for the first time in the 2009-10 season for a collaborative project, the sum is ultimately more than the individual parts. The ties with NPO Radio 4 have been strengthened and the coaching program has been developed and deepened.
